RCF Sound Meets Architecture at Ayia Napa Marina’s Event Center

Ayia Napa Marina, Cyprus - Completely immersed in the marina environment, the Event Center stands as the main focal attraction of Ayia Napa Marina. Prominently located on the south-eastern end of the Commercial Area, this elliptical, conical glass building is a destination venue and a one-of-a-kind architectural marvel in Cyprus, designed for both open-air and indoor events. Its distinctive vertical sunshades create a layered, sculptural façade by day and transform the building into a glowing landmark by night.

Fully equipped with the latest audio, video, and lighting technology provided by Megasound, this ultra-modern structure, along with the plaza leading up to it, provides an ideal setting for parties, weddings, corporate functions, concerts, and special events.

After a detailed analysis of the venue’s acoustics and operational requirements, RCF’s Cypriot distributor, Megasound, engineered a flexible and fully adaptable sound system capable of covering the entire elliptical interior, whether configured lengthwise or sideways. The installation features six RCF NXL 44-A active line source columns for pristine mid-high coverage, paired with two RCF SUB 8006-AS subwoofers that deliver powerful, controlled low frequencies—complementing the glass and steel architecture without compromising clarity.

For on-stage monitoring, three RCF ART 3 Series 15” active monitors provide accurate reference for performers, managed through an RCF M 20X digital mixer. This system design allows seamless reconfiguration for any type of event, offering effortless operation and consistent, high-quality sound throughout the venue.
