RCF Ensures Intelligibility at Lublin’s Award-Winning Metropolitan Station

Lublin, Poland - The Metropolitan Station in Lublin is a remarkable space that seamlessly combines functionality with innovative technology and award-winning architecture. Opened in early 2024, this transportation hub connects various modes of public transit while also standing as an international icon of modern design. The station, designed by the renowned architectural studio Tremend, has received numerous accolades, including the European Property Award, Green Building Award, and Property Design Award. Its crowning achievement came in November 2024, when it was honored with the top prize in the “Transport” category at the World Architecture Festival – often considered the “Oscars of Architecture.”

In addition to its architectural brilliance, the station incorporates state-of-the-art technologies, including energy-saving systems, green roofs, and rainwater collection solutions. Central to the station’s functionality is its advanced public address system, designed to ensure clear and precise announcements throughout the facility. 

The audio system relies on premium components to deliver reliable performance and exceptional sound quality. Compact RCF PL 6X ceiling speakers ensure crisp audio in corridors and waiting areas, while RCF CS 3082 wall-mounted speakers provide consistent sound coverage in larger spaces with heavy foot traffic.
RCF installed sound products distributor TOMMEX was responsible for the comprehensive design of the station's audio system, as well as for the delivery, installation and commissioning.
