TT+ Audio Supports Helsinki City Festival with Event Center OÜ
Helsinki City Festival 2026 brought three days of live music to Nordis in Helsinki from June 12 to 14, with a 55,000-person audience and a program featuring international and Finnish artists, including Lewis Capaldi, Black Eyed Peas, Macklemore, Flo Rida, Haloo Helsinki!, JVG, and KUUMAA.
Event Center OÜ served as the festival's sole technical partner, providing installation and technical operation of the stages, sound, lighting, video, and LED screens.
For the main stage, Event Center OÜ deployed a TT+ Audio system comprising [12] GTX 12 line-array modules per side, supported by [16] GTS 29 subwoofers in a cardioid-curved configuration. [12] RCF HDL 26-A active two-way line array modules were added as front fills.
On the second stage, the system was configured with [10] GTX 10 line-array modules per side, [10] GTS 29 subwoofers in a cardioid curved array, and [4] GTX 10 modules for front fill. Both stages were powered by XPS 16K amplifiers.
“The main objective was to provide a reliable, well-coordinated production infrastructure for both stages and for all performers across the weekend,” said Margus Jaago, overall project manager for Event Center OÜ.
“Since GTX was introduced in the market just a couple of years ago, visiting artists’ production teams have never had the opportunity to evaluate its performance in the field.” According to Jaago, the process required clear communication and system documentation, backed by Event Center OÜ's extensive experience with high-end audio solutions, which was a key factor in these discussions.
“We successfully negotiated with all of these artists to use TT+ Audio GTX 12 and GTX 10 line arrays, as well as TT+ Audio GTS 29 subwoofers,” Jaago said. “This was no small feat, as every one of them initially had strict riders specifying well-established brands. Following negotiations, we demonstrated to their production teams that the TT+ Audio GTX and GTS series could meet, if not exceed, the requirements.”
Sound project manager German Shovkunenko coordinated the system workflow for the audio team, including deployment, preparation, and operation across the festival site.
“TT+ Audio gave us the tools we needed to manage both stages with confidence,” said German Shovkunenko, sound project manager for Event Center OÜ. “The cardioid curved subwoofer arrays were easy to implement in RDNet and precise in controlling low-frequency radiation, while the GTX systems provided focused coverage and extended headroom for the audience areas. The XPS 16K amplifier platform supported an efficient workflow from setup through show operation. Overall, the sound quality and coverage precision were excellent, and we look forward to seeing TT+ Audio specified in more technical riders in the future.”
“All artists’ technical teams were very satisfied with the audio quality and the system’s feature set,” Jaago added. “The system performed exactly as expected, and that is one of the strongest compliments an audio system can receive. Our TT+ Audio inventory continues to expand, and this project confirmed the value of having a scalable system platform for demanding festival productions.”
