X 40 is a two-way professional speaker designed for a wide range of fixed indoor and outdoor installations requiring high audio quality and extreme durability. Thanks to the state of the art RCF transducers, two 10’’ high power woofers with 3.0’’ voice coils and one 1.4’’, titanium dome, compression driver with 4.0’’ voice coil, it offers exceptional max SPL level with a balanced and clear sound. The asymmetrical horn with 110° by 60° directivity allows an efficient coverage at different distances, as for example in the case of a racing circuit grandstand. The cabinet is made of high-density polyurethane, while the aluminum grille guarantees protection from dust and rain, thanks to a waterproof fabric layer. A bracket for wall mount vertical installation is included.

All-weather Performance

Focusing on heavy-duty outdoor and indoor applications in large spaces, X Series speakers are capable of true, concert-level high performance in a compact and robust polyurethane enclosure, installed individually or coupled in array configurations. Featuring line array and point source speakers, all modules are equipped with RCF's best-in-class technologies, including Precision Transducers, horns, and crossovers for optimal coverage and sound clarity.

Superior Transducers

Low Frequencies
RCF low-frequency transducers use high-flux neodymium magnets to deliver maximum current stability, reduced distortion, and excellent thermal efficiency. Each woofer undergoes a rigorous endurance signal tests to guarantee reliability under the most demanding conditions.
High Frequencies
The compression driver voice coil features high-performance materials—including neodymium magnets and titanium domes—for outstanding power handling, superior durability, and exceptionally natural sound reproduction across the spectrum.

TRW Asymmetric Constant Coverage Waveguide

X 40’s True Resistive Waveguide (TRW) is engineered as part of a fully integrated system: transducers, enclosure, and vented ports are developed together to control the acoustic load and radiation with higher precision. Acoustically, the waveguide behaves as a pure resistive load, minimizing horn resonances and the high-frequency distortion they typically associated with conventional horns.

When paired with FiRPHASE processing, TRW helps the system behave as a single, coherent source, producing a precise, stable sound image. The 100° × 20° asymmetric pattern is shaped for audience geometries: vertical dispersion is tighter above the horn axis and wider below, keeping energy on the seating plane, extending reach to the back rows, and reducing ceiling reflections to support speech intelligibility.

LICC - Low Impedance Compensated Crossover

X Series features a high-level crossover network that features lower-than-conventional induction values. Its benefits include delay reduction, reduced phase shift, and superior transient response, all of which contribute to improved audio performance and stability.
