RCF Powers ASTA Arena’s Speedway Stadium with Precision Audio

When the City of Piła decided to rebuild its historic speedway venue, the project team set an uncompromising goal: every fan in the 4,029-seat bowl had to hear every announcement and every rev of the bikes above 100 dB of engine roar. TOMMEX—RCF's official installation distributor for Poland—was chosen to engineer a system that would bring true concert-level clarity in a weatherproof enclosure to the new ASTA Arena.

The modernization of the stadium, carried out in stages from 2021, was the most significant sports investment in the city's history. The scope of work included, among other things, the reconstruction of the stands, modernization of the speedway track, installation of new boards and lighting, and adaptation of the facility to meet the needs of people with disabilities. 

The acoustic brief was demanding. Speedway racing generates a broadband noise floor exceeding 95 dB(A), and exposure to wind and rain is constant. After predictive modeling, TOMMEX specified 45 RCF P 6215 weather-rated, high-output point-source loudspeakers. Their controlled 60 × 40° pattern focuses energy onto each seating tier while keeping reflections off the track and roof structure to a minimum. All signal transport rides on Dante and control via RCF RDNet.

By combining RCF loudspeaker engineering with TOMMEX’s meticulous installation, ASTA Arena now positions Piła as a premier host for national and international competitions.
