Fury in the Slaughterhouse Return to Meidericher Stadtpark with RCF HDL Line Array

Duisburg, Germany - Meidericher Stadtpark in Duisburg transformed into an open-air venue as Fury in the Slaughterhouse returned to the location where they had already performed seventeen years earlier. Around 3,000 visitors filled the park and celebrated the Hanover-based band in typical German August weather, with sunshine and brief showers that did nothing to diminish the atmosphere.

The evening was opened by Mrs. Greenbird, the folk-pop duo from Cologne, whose memorable songs and two-part vocals set the mood for the headliner. The concert was part of a larger open-air series in the park, initiated by Christian Krämer, Wolfgang Trepper, and Guido Jansen. The appearance was made possible in part through the support of Holger Hübner, co-founder of Wacken Open Air, who facilitated the connection to the band.
To ensure consistent audio quality across all areas of the site—from the front-of-house to the VIP section—AVT-Events deployed a powerful, precisely tuned RCF HDL line array system. The setup included:

  • Main PA 2 × 10 HDL 50-A 4K (left and right of the stage)
  • Outfill (right side only for the VIP area) 5 × HDL 30-A
  • Frontfill 7 × HDL 30-A
  • Subwoofers 14 × SUB 9007-AS

The result was a homogeneous, impactful sound that conveyed both the quieter, intimate moments and the energetic rock anthems with clarity and transparency throughout the listening area.
“I am pleased that the performance of the system convinced everyone. The guests, as well as Fury, were enthusiastic about the sound and are still talking to us about it today. Particularly convenient was the straightforward monitoring and control via RDNet. My thanks also go to Thomas Mundorf, who supported us on site as tech support in an outstanding way,” says Jens Andres of AVT-Events.
