RCF Upgrade for Jastrzębie-Zdrój Sports and Entertainment Hall

The modernization was engineered and delivered by TOMMEX, the official distributor for RCF installed products in Poland and a specialist in professional electroacoustic systems for sports and public venues. TOMMEX had originally supplied the hall’s sound and voice alarm system in 2011, and the company was once again selected to upgrade the venue’s audio infrastructure. The new phase preserves the existing voice alarm system as an independent platform, while adding a dedicated sound reinforcement system for sports presentation, music playback, and day-to-day event operation.

Developed to improve coverage consistency, speech intelligibility, and operational flexibility throughout the seating areas, the main system is based on 16 RCF COMPACT C 32 loudspeakers. These two-way point-source enclosures are designed for near- and mid-throw applications and feature a 12-inch neodymium woofer, a 3-inch neodymium compression driver, and a rotatable constant-directivity waveguide with 100° × 50° coverage. Powered by RCF QPS 10K four-channel amplifiers, providing up to 4 × 2,500 W at 2 ohms in a 2 RU format, the main focus of the system is to balance power, reliability and sound quality for a wide range of events.

The upgrade maintains a clear separation between life-safety and performance audio functions while bringing improved clarity for announcements, more even audience coverage, and greater flexibility for different event formats.
