TT+ Audio GTX System Supports Nights on Broadway at Festhalle Frankfurt

Frankfurt am Main, Germany — The current production of Nights on Broadway, performed by the internationally recognized Bee Gees tribute band Night Fever, brought a sold-out concert experience to Festhalle Frankfurt. Approximately 10,000 attendees gathered for an evening built around vocal performance, musical detail, and large-scale production design.

Technical production was delivered by Böhm & Sieg Veranstaltungstechnik GmbH in collaboration with Colito Productions. For the sound reinforcement system, the team selected a complete TT+ Audio GTX touring configuration, designed to meet the requirements of one of Germany’s most established indoor venues.

Festhalle Frankfurt is known for its historic architecture, large internal volume, and demanding acoustic conditions. The venue features a glass dome rising to 29 m and hosts concerts, shows, conferences, and large-scale events. These conditions require a system capable of controlled coverage, consistent tonal balance, and precise system alignment across a wide audience area.

For Nights on Broadway, the main system was based on GTX 12 and GTX 10 line array modules with GTS 29 subwoofers. The GTX 12 arrays were deployed as the main system, providing coverage to the rear audience areas, while GTX 10 modules were used for nearfill and sidefill applications.

The low-frequency system combined flown GTS 29 subwoofers in an end-fired configuration with additional ground-stacked GTS 29 units. This approach supported directional low-frequency control while maintaining physical impact throughout the audience area.

“We have been TT+ Audio users from the beginning, and we knew immediately that a show of this scale required the transparency and musical warmth of the GTX System,” said Konstantin Böhm of Böhm & Sieg Veranstaltungstechnik GmbH. “In a venue such as Festhalle Frankfurt, clean, phase-coherent reproduction is extremely important. The GTX System convinced us especially through its headroom and even coverage.”

Böhm added that the production placed particular emphasis on vocal clarity and musical consistency. “The show is built around multi-part vocals and dynamic arrangements,” he said. “With GTX 12 and GTX 10, we achieved very homogeneous coverage across the audience area. The GTS 29 subwoofers delivered the right balance of pressure and musicality—defined and never intrusive. The touring-friendly rigging solutions and comparatively low weight also saved significant time during load-in and load-out, which is a real advantage for large productions with tight schedules.”

“For the setup and optimization of the sound reinforcement system, the technical team relied on TT+ Audio RDNet software,” said Michael Meister, system engineer at Colito Productions. “In combination with FiRPHASE technology, RDNet allowed precise time alignment of the complete system—an important factor for intelligibility, clean transients, and a fatigue-free listening experience in a large hall such as Festhalle Frankfurt. Vocals remained present and natural and transients stayed clean. Even at high SPL, the mix remained structured and comfortable.” The production team also used RDShape for system prediction and venue-specific optimization.

A further part of the system was the TTR 16K Touring Rack. The TTR 16K includes parallel S-COM connectors for balanced analog inputs and P-COM connectors for loudspeaker power output, supporting streamlined cabling directly to GTX and GTS loudspeakers. The rack’s integration with RDNet allowed centralized monitoring and control of the complete system.
